Knicks end the 53-year drought

The New York Knicks are NBA champions for the first time since 1973. They closed out the Spurs 4-1 on Saturday with a four-point win in Game 5, with Jalen Brunson lifting Finals MVP after carrying New York through one of the best closeout series in recent memory. Game 4 produced the largest comeback in Finals history with the Knicks erasing a 29-point deficit, with OG Anunoby's tip-in with 1.2 seconds left sealing it!

Gaethje shocks Topuria at the White House

The first UFC card ever held at the White House delivered one of the biggest upsets in the sport's history. Justin Gaethje, a 6-to-1 underdog, stopped previously undefeated lightweight champion Ilia Topuria via TKO in Round 4 to claim the undisputed title. In the co-main fight, Ciryl Gane TKO'd Alex Pereira in Round 2 to claim the interim heavyweight title, denying Pereira his bid to become the first three-division UFC champion.

Hamilton wins his first race for Ferrari

And on the F1 track, Lewis Hamilton finally took his first Grand Prix win for Ferrari at the Barcelona-Catalunya GP, ending Mercedes' perfect 2026 start. Antonelli's championship winning streak was broken by a late engine failure with four laps to go, after he had already passed Russell for second. With this win, Hamilton becomes the oldest race winner in F1 history. Antonelli still leads the Drivers' standings, but has halved his lead and is now ahead by 41 points instead of 66.
